Grace & Aaron’s Wedstival was a three day trivia night/pyjama party/ camp/wedding/rock concert all rolled in one. And what a hoot it was!
Hosting their gathering at Camp Sunnystones, just 45 minutes from Melbourne, gave Grace & Aaron the opportunity to spend quality time with their nearest & dearest, whilst the proximity allowed other guests to join in on their special day.
Set amongst the gum trees, overlooking the nearby forest was where the ceremony took place. The sound of the wind and birds filtered through as they said their “I do’s”. With Scruffy the goat as a witness, getting hitched took place without a hitch! The crowd gathered and congratulated the newly-weds with a fine Yarra Valley sparkling in hand.
After months of planning and getting to know our uber-cool couple, Here Comes The Truck were looking forward to what promised to be a rocking wedding. HCTT arrived on site to coordinate the setup of the marquee in the paddock and roll out the pre-planned details. In the meanwhile, Grace and Aaron mingled with their guests and held a flowers and decorations making workshop. With the dashing Aaron being a bit of a rock star the focus was on the music. It wasn’t until the stage was rolled out that we realized how much of a rock concert this wedstival was promising to be! And boy did it rock!
As the couple toured the property with the super awesome photographers It’s Beautiful Here, HCTT fed the crowd with food truck canapes. Music rocked and guests drank. A CWA cake competition was the planned distraction and as the winner was announced the lovebirds and their wedding party made their grand entrance via back stage, grabbing their instruments to play a tune to the delight of their guests. It was deemed by HCTT as the best entrance of the year! (possibly decade….yet to be confirmed)
The night continued in a similar fashion. Drinks were poured and more food by the delicious Greek Street Food and Gorilla Grill food trucks were served to the guests. The night’s events were all coordinated and maintained by the HCTT staff and waiters.
With a front man to match the likes of Mick Jagger (in his good days!) Vaudeville Smash rolled out the music. The guests partied hard, the bar rocked (literally!) and Grace & Aaron began their life as a married couple with their own creative twist…surrounded by love, music, family & happiness.
